We have been growing hemp fiber for a long time, over 10 years. It is not just a plant on our farm. It is our everyday life, experience, and at the same time respect for the land from which we live. In Šironia, hemp is grown in such a way that it preserves its natural strength and purity, and the land in which it grows remains alive and fertile for many years to come.
It all starts with soil preparation
Hemp likes fertile, loose, but not waterlogged soil. That's why we carefully prepare the soil before planting - without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. We use natural methods, such as crop rotation or organic fertilizers, to keep the soil healthy.
It is important to us that each plant grows naturally, without excessive intervention - this allows us to preserve the taste, nutritional value, and energy provided by nature itself.
We sow with respect for time
We start sowing in the spring, when the ground is warm enough and there is still enough moisture for germination. Hemp is a light-loving plant, so sun and space are important for it.
Following traditional methods, we sow evenly and without excessive density so that the plants have room to grow strong and tall.
Growth period
In the summer, our fields are covered in a wave of green, and this is when cannabis grows at its fastest. It can reach a height of 2-3 meters in just a few months!
During this period, we monitor whether the plants are strong enough or not, and whether they are getting enough moisture. Since hemp is quite resistant to pests, we do not use additional sprays or chemicals - this allows us to maintain a natural balance in the ecosystem.
Harvesting
When the plants mature and the seeds ripen, it is harvest time. This is perhaps the most sensitive stage. We pick the hemp flowers by hand, and then cut them with special equipment, depending on what production it is intended for - for oil, hemp straw or other products.
After harvesting, we dry the hemp naturally, without artificial heat, to preserve its aroma, color, and nutritional value.
From the field to your table
Everything we do on the farm has one goal – to offer natural, high-quality, Lithuanian produce. From seed to final product, every step is carried out responsibly.
Our products (hemp teas, oils, seeds) and education are an invitation to get to know this plant not only through the product, but also through history, the preservation of one's native land, and human labor.
